Nancy Skinner:
Ready to Make a Difference
Currently on the East Bay Regional Parks Board, Nancy is adding acres to our beloved parks and expanding Park District programs for our youth and schools.
A champion for our schools, Nancy has a Masters in Education from UC Berkeley, is a former PTA leader and campaigned to pass the parcel tax that reduced class sizes and funds after-school and enrichment programs.
Nancy can get things done. A national leader in the fight against global warming Nancy launched Cities for Climate Protection working with Mayors and cities across the US.
Recently Nancy brought Fortune 500 businesses together with state leaders to support AB 32, California's groundbreaking Global Warming Solutions Act. Nancy served on the Berkeley City Council in the 1980s and currently serves on the boards of a number of local community agencies.
Restoring leadership in education, ensuring a social net with accessible, affordable health care, making our communities safe and jumpstarting the green economy are core issues in Nancy's run to represent Assembly District 14.
